A Brief History of Sultan Palace

Located in the middle of the main axis stretching from north to south, and the secondary axis from east to west. Surrounded by mountain ranges called the horizon as the edge of the universe.

It lies between the northern boundary and the monument as Stage Krapyak the south border, between Code River in the east and west Winongo River. Dance Bedhaya



Composition daughter dance classic Yogyakarta style is considered a heritage brought by the nine dancers princess-themed stories and legends, or historical chronicle.

Golek Menak Dance


Golek Dance Menak is one type of classical dance style created by the Yogyakarta Sultan Hamengkubuwono IX. Creation Menak Golek dance originated from the idea after seeing the sultan Menak Golek Puppet performances are staged by a mastermind of Kedu area in 1941. Also called Golek Beksa Menak, or Beksan Menak. Golek puppets dance connotes Menak.

Sari Temple

Temple, which has been recently renovated, is located about 12 km to the east of the city of Yogyakarta to the north of the main road between Yogyakarta and Solo. Sambisari is a very unique temple, this temple is located 6.5 meters below ground level. This temple was built in the 10th century. Since the eruption of Mount Merapi in the year 1006, the area around it covered with materials originating from volcanoes.

Kalasan Temple

This unique Buddhist temple is located approximately 16 km to the east of the city of Yogyakarta on the southern side of the main road antaraYogyakarta and Prambanan. This temple was built to honor the marriage between King Pancapana of Sanjaya Dynasty and a Princess of the dynasty dynasty, Dyah Pramudya Ward. This temple has a beautiful ornament with carved reliefs and coated with good carving
with "Vajralepa", a yellow-colored material made from the sap of some plants. Vajralepa function as an adhesive and protective against damage and keep the carving, and also to beautify the carving. This temple is 24 meters tall and the base form of crosses.

Boko Temple

King Boko Palace is located about 19 km to the east of Yogyakarta city and 2 km from Prambanan Temple. To the south can be seen faintly in South Beach and Mount Merapi to the north, and the temples of Prambanan temple Kalasan can be seen clearly without using tools. From the main door which has been renovated to the right, you can find the auditorium of the palace which has been renovated. To the left of the auditorium, there is a pond used for bathing the women in antiquity.
